common root of ethics and material success
Do all these goods grow out of a common root? In other words, will increasing one increase all other goods? By goods I do not mean material goods alone but a property of goodness, ethically good which has and is the common root? What is this common root? Is it accessible to the commonman/woman who will then grasp within their hands the lever for increasing material goods and happiness for anyone who wishes it?
